One of Agder XR's goals is to create more jobs and to grow and expand knowledge about XR-technology.

The Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR) conducts fundamental artificial intelligence research. The centre is comprised of researchers with expertise in theory, algorithms and philosophy of artificial intelligence. Their mission is to attack unsolved problems and push the research frontier, seeking superintelligence. CAIR aims to provide an attractive environment for cutting-edge research.
The EYDE Cluster is the Norwegian Centre of Expertise (NCE) for Sustainable Process Industry, working for the transition towards a sustainable future.

Through their museum, Sørlandets Kunstmuseum (SKMU) showcases visual art. In addition, they have temporary exibitions focused on relevant subjects - this also includes contemporary art. Together with this, they also have an extra focus on handicraft.
SINPRO (Senter for Innovativ Design og Produksjon) is a cooperation between companies and knowledge-institutions. The goal is to develop SINPRO to a nationally recognized competence-cluster, where the participants share their experiences and expertise - focused on innovation and value-creation.
