The idea behind Intoto begins with the Synne-flom (flomhendelser.no/20152000) in decemeber 2015. The three founders of Intoto originate from Synne and each had their own experience of the devestation and event. In the aftermath the concluded with this: 

    Why are there no good answer before, during and after such an event? 

A central question to Intotos inception was: how can technology help smaller communities with events such as the Synne-flom? With this in mind, they created Intoto. Intoto have created a platform for water-data, that can answer the problem they saw in Synne, and a lot more.
